Engineering Memo
"We had a coffee roaster client who pre-printed 10,000 bags for a seasonal single-origin batch, only for the crop to yield half the expected amount due to a late freeze. They lost over $4,000 in unused custom packaging. I advised them to buy blank white Kraft and brown Kraft pouches in bulk, and stamps with biodegradable water-based inks. They could write the origin, roast date, and bag number by hand. This not only saved their cash flow by letting them order 500 bags instead of 5,000, but their customers absolutely loved the rustic, hand-signed artisan look. It felt human, not industrial."
